The beaches are a world apart
Sprawling methodically from mainland Cuba into the cool, inviting waters of the Caribbean, Varadero boasts world-class beaches and has perfected the art of all-inclusive vacationing. Melia Peninsula Varadero plants an impressive array of amenities and island activities directly on the bright, velvety sands for which is this area of Mexico is famous.
Activities of a different kind
Surpassing the usual selection of island activities, Melia Peninsula Varadero offers guests new and exciting ways to enjoy the resort. Display a new trick during a windsurfing lesson while you learn to dominate the waves that rush in to the picturesque shoreline, or putt through the mini-golf course. Guests also receive an introductory scuba diving lesson in the pool, or can take a variety of boats out to sea. If kayaking the cerulean crests or ducking below them while sporting a snorkel is not your scene, try a couple rounds of tennis or a trip to the spa.
Tantalizing flavours to tempt you
On the resort you have a variety of restaurants to choose from, and two a la carte reservations with which to plot your dining adventures. Stop by La Gondola for romantic Italian fare (think pasta and a glass of white wine) or branch out for an invigorating dish at the Japanese restaurant Sakura. Mexican and French fare are also offered at Tocororo and Le Bistro respectively, and to properly wash down a spicy burrito or rich French fare, stop by one of the resort's four bars.
Off the resort endeavours
The resort is located close to a golf course for those who wish to absorb the stunning cerulean coastline while actively engaging with the landscape. The city centre of Varadero is approximately 15 minutes away if you wish to head in and explore, or you can organize a Havana experience; note the old-style American cars as they wiz past the crumbling colonial tenements and vivacious local energy.
