Modeled after an old-fashioned Jamaican Village, the newly-renovated Braco Beach Resort & Spa is not your typical four-star all-inclusive resort. Old fashioned buildings with gingerbread architecture, cobble-stone walkways and a resort town square are reminiscent of a different era; but the old-world aesthetic has been perfectly married with modern amenities to bring you the ideal locale for a vacation.

Rooms feature plush bedding and private balconies overlooking the ocean, and a loaded mini-bar. But in order to shift into full vacation mode, a drink enjoyed at the swim-up bar is a must. The sand on the beachfront is not unlike talcum powder, and it's an easy place to park yourself for an afternoon in one of the loungers or hammocks. Take relaxation to the next level in one of the four Jacuzzis, steam room or sauna.

But more adventurous vacationers can opt to navigate the water in a kayak or borrow some snorkeling gear to explore the underwater world. Sports facilities include a soccer field, three tennis courts, beach volleyball court, basketball court and table tennis. If those don't interest you, you can learn to cook jerk chicken at a cooking seminar, or work up a sweat at a reggae class.

The five restaurants on site offer local and international selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and snacks for in-between-meal hankerings. There are also seven bars throughout the resort to choose from, so you'll never go hungry or thirsty.
